FAQ
Why strip tracking parameters from links?
Parameters like fbclid, igsh, xmt, and utm_* are used by platforms to trace who shared a link and where it came from. Removing them keeps the link working while dropping the identifying trail.
Will the cleaned link break or stop working?
No. Cleaning only removes tracking query parameters — it never touches the path that actually points to the content, so a working link keeps working after cleaning.
Where does my data go?
Cleaning happens entirely on your device and nothing is uploaded to a server. The one exception is resolving Threads short links, which makes a single anonymous request with no login or identity information — see the privacy policy for details.
